funny feeling

The sensation of tearing apart comes back almost more strongly than the happy anticipation of rejoining, in the days leading up to rejoining. I think that's why we cry when we meet again. That last bit of leaving doesn't really leave us until we have you back again.

question: do you know this feeling?

mompoet - feeling it

Mompoet - You have just put into words a feeling I have always had ... and not been able to describe. I emailed your post to Meg so she will realize why we will sob when we next hold each other.

I totally agree and am so proud of you for being able to put that tearful "fuzzy feeling into words."

Wow, all I can say it awesome Mompoet...maybe one of your best works.

Thank you dear Easthill Ladee and darling Daisy. At the airport today I felt a sharp "yank" like a tightening tug, when I first saw my beloved ones at the gate, then the tension dissolved and I was so happy to see them. It was quick, like a tooth being pulled. That was great.
We just got home after a nice visit together. First, we drove the family from airport to our Mom and Dad's place, then ate a late supper out on the porch, even though it was 3 or 4 in the morning England time. Returning travellers are all sleeping now, and we're home. I'm happy, relieved, turned around, and drained. Ready for sleep too. Thanks for appreciating and relating to the way I've been feeling.

You put it beautifully. You may have a sense of humour like mine, but your ability with words is far more like your mother's.

I'm proud of you, and I'm proud of Barb's family. And I cannot adequately express how happy I am to see them back.

mompoet's very happy dad
