music in my heart

I spent the weekend at the Coquitlam District Music Festival with Fi, who won everything she entered. I will try not to be a boasting mom, because it was all the daughter's doing so she's the one entitled to boast (which she doesn't). We saw dozens of lovely performances by young vocalists and listened to encouraging and constructive adjudication notes from the wonderful Kevin Power. My heart swelled up to bursting over and over again. Most people never get to be in this place. I am happy happy happy.
